The agreement
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and the makers of Twunein ("we", "us"). They cover your use of the Twunein mobile and web application, including any beta, preview, or paid features (together, the "Service").
By creating an account, signing in, or using the Service in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital age in your country, whichever is higher) to use Twunein. By using the Service you confirm you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
Your account
- Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your sign-in credentials private. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Notify us promptly at security@twunein.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
- One human, one account. You may not run automated or bulk accounts.
Acceptable use
While using Twunein you agree not to:
- Upload, share, or stream content you do not have the right to share.
- Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm anyone.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure.
- Bypass session capacity limits, sign-in restrictions, or any other technical control.
- Use the Service to violate any law, regulation, or third party's rights.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.
Your content & uploads
You keep all rights in audio files and any other content you upload to Twunein ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit, transcode, and play Your Content only to deliver the Service to you and the partner(s) you choose to listen with. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.
You confirm that you have all rights necessary to upload Your Content and that doing so does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights.
Third-party content (YouTube and others)
Twunein can play media from third-party sources (such as YouTube) inside a synchronised session. When you do this:
- You are using the third party's player and accepting their terms (e.g. the YouTube Terms of Service).
- The content remains the property of its respective owner. Twunein does not claim ownership of third-party content.
- Availability, ads, and quality of third-party media are outside our control.
Paid plans & billing
Twunein offers a free tier and optional paid plans (Couple+, Group) that unlock larger session capacities. Paid plans are billed through your platform's billing system (Apple App Store, Google Play, or our web payment provider) on the schedule shown at purchase.
- Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your store account.
- Refunds are governed by the store's refund policy (Apple / Google) where the purchase was made.
- If a payment fails, your plan reverts to Free and session capacity is reduced accordingly.
- We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Existing prepaid periods are honoured.
Our intellectual property
Twunein's name, logo, the bespoke "duo" sync visuals on this site, the connecting beam interaction, the breathing rings, the in-app design system, all source code, copy, and brand assets are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service as intended. Nothing else is granted.
You may not copy, mirror, fork, rebrand, or use these elements to build a competing product without our prior written permission.
Suspension & termination
You may stop using Twunein at any time. To remove your account see account deletion (permanent) or account closure (recoverable).
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continued provision creates a risk to the Service or other users. Where reasonable, we will notify you first.
Warranty disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that playback will always be perfectly in sync, that the Service will be uninterrupted, or that all bugs will be fixed. We do, however, work hard at all three.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Twunein and its makers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, revenue, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater.
Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify us against any third-party claim arising from (a) Your Content, (b) your misuse of the Service, or (c) your breach of these Terms or applicable law.
Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi, India, except where local consumer-protection laws grant you a non-waivable right to litigate in your home jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes are announced in-app and via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
